Naples sets fixed taxi fares from the airport, but you have to ask for them by name before the journey starts.

This is not a scam-avoidance flourish; it is how the system is designed to work, and the fixed fare only applies to passengers who invoke it.

- Runs to Napoli Centrale and on to the port at Molo Beverello - which is the stop you want for the ferries and hydrofoils to Capri, Ischia and Procida.

Where the airport is
Capodichino is about 5 km northeast of the centre, inside the city. That closeness is the reason a taxi is a sane option here, unlike most of the airports on this site - and also the reason the fixed-fare system exists.
