Lamezia Terme Airport (SUF) to the railway and to Calabria
Lamezia Airlink is a bus between Lamezia Terme Centrale station and the terminal, 1.80 EUR, sold together with the train ticket as one journey.
- Lamezia Airlink is a bus, not a train, running between Lamezia Terme Centrale station and the terminal.
- The bus leg is 1.80 EUR, added to whatever the train costs.
- Buy it as one ticket. Select Lamezia Terme Aeroporto as your origin or destination on Trenitalia and the train and bus come together.
- At the station it leaves from the exit, and at the airport it stops on Viale Rodolfo Imbrogno, 50 metres from the arrivals exit.
- Lamezia Terme Centrale is a main line station, so this puts the airport within one booking of most of Calabria and beyond.
- Sold through every Trenitalia channel, including the app, station machines, agencies and tobacconists.
One ticket, two vehicles
- Trenitalia treats the airport as a station it can sell to. Type Lamezia Terme Aeroporto into the journey planner and you get a through fare covering the train and the connecting bus.
- The bus supplement is 1.80 EUR for a single journey. That is the whole of the extra cost, on top of the rail fare from wherever you started.
- This is unusual and it is the reason to use it. No separate ticket, no cash for the driver, no working out which local bus goes where.
The two ends
- At Lamezia Terme Centrale the bus departs from the exit of the station building.
- At the airport it uses the stop on Viale Rodolfo Imbrogno, about 50 metres from the arrivals exit.
- Lamezia Terme Centrale is on the main Tyrrhenian line, which is what makes the arrangement useful: Cosenza, Catanzaro, Reggio Calabria, Salerno and Naples are all direct trains from it.
Buying it
- Trenitalia website and app, self service machines in stations, ticket offices, travel agencies and PUNTOLIS or Mooney tobacconist retailers.
- Book the train and the bus in one transaction rather than buying the rail leg and improvising at the station.
