Perugia Airport (PEG) to Perugia and Assisi
Umbria Airlink runs to both Perugia and Assisi for 5.00 EUR, but only one cabin sized bag travels free and every extra bag costs another 5.00 EUR.
- Umbria Airlink is 5.00 EUR from 12 years old, 2.50 EUR for ages 4 to 12, free under 4 if the child does not take a seat.
- It serves Assisi as well as Perugia, on separate one way routes.
- One bag of 55 x 40 x 20 cm travels free, the same cabin size the airline gave you.
- Every extra or oversized bag costs 5.00 EUR, as much as the passenger ticket.
- The luggage ticket is not sold on the Trenitalia platform, so a suitcase has to be paid for separately.
- Tickets are sold on board at no extra charge, and must be validated when you board.
The fares
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Umbria Airlink, from 12 years | 5.00 EUR |
| Reduced, ages 4 to 12 | 2.50 EUR |
| Under 4 without a seat | free |
| Extra or oversized bag | 5.00 EUR each |
- Each ticket is one way, on either the Perugia to airport or the Assisi to airport route.
- The route runs with a reduced number of stops, so it is a link rather than a local bus, and the stops carry Umbria Airlink branding.
- The service runs daily, on a timetable valid from 30 March 2026 and adjusted when flights change.
The luggage rule is the thing to notice
- One piece at 55 x 40 x 20 centimetres is included. That is a cabin bag, not a suitcase.
- A hold bag costs 5.00 EUR on the bus, doubling the price of the journey for one person with checked luggage.
- The luggage ticket cannot be bought through Trenitalia, only through Busitalia's own channels, which is worth knowing if you are booking a combined rail journey.
Buying
- On board at no extra charge, which is unusual and useful.
- Through the SALGO app, or at Busitalia ticket offices at Perugia Fontivegge station and the Piazza Partigiani bus terminal.
- Validate on board. After validation the ticket is not transferable.
