The centre of Bardufoss is a two minute drive from the terminal. The airport bus exists mainly to run to Finnsnes on the coast.

Bardufoss is in Malselv, in inner Troms, in the Malselv valley.
It is a joint civil and military field. The air station is the reason there is a runway of this size in a valley with this population.
Tromso is about two and a half hours north by road, and Narvik about the same to the south.
