Kirkenes (KKN): the bus runs twice a day because the flights do
Barents Buss runs the airport bus from outside the main exit, timed to the arrivals rather than to a clock. It is about 120 kroner and half an hour, and it stops at the hotels.

- Taxis usually wait outside the main exit and tend to stay a while after the few flight arrivals.
- The drive is 13 km and takes 15 to 20 minutes, at roughly 300 to 400 NOK.
- If the rank is empty, the taxi central is about a minute from the main exit and has a number to call.
- Norwegian taxi fares are deregulated, so confirm the price before setting off.
Where this is
- Hoybuktmoen sits west of Kirkenes, in Sor-Varanger, a few kilometres from the Russian border.
- This is the northern terminus of the Hurtigruten coastal route, which is what brings most visitors here.
