Getting from Mo i Rana Airport, Røssvoll to the city

An airport in transition

• Mo i Rana's airport is at Røssvoll, a few kilometres outside the town, and its visiting address is 8615 Skonseng. Widerøe is the only airline.
• Avinor runs a New Mo i Rana Airport notice across the airport's own pages. The short-runway field at Røssvoll is the one a replacement is intended to succeed, so anything you read about the airport may refer to either.

Opening hours, and a caveat

• The published hours are split into a morning window and an afternoon window rather than one continuous day, which is unusual and worth checking against your flight.
• The page as published also still lists Easter holiday exceptions from April next to the general hours. That is a sign the table is not being kept current, so ring or check the Avinor app rather than relying on it.

Parking

• Reserve in advance or park on the day. Operated by OnePark, with customer service open 24 hours a day.

Getting into town

• Mo i Rana is one of only three Nordland towns with its own town bus network, alongside Bodø and Narvik, and Reis Nordland publishes a line map for it.
• Use the Reis Nordland journey planner rather than a printed timetable. Only the planner reflects deviations and public holidays.
• County rules apply on those buses: one hold bag up to 30 kg, one hand bag up to 10 kg at 50 x 40 x 30 cm under the seat, no fresh fish or other organic material, and no electric bicycles.
• The travel guarantee can cover alternative transport after a delayed or cancelled bus or express boat, but not for ferries, commercial routes or extraordinary weather.
