Brønnøysund (BNN): the terminal shuts at 14:30 on Saturdays
Weekdays run 05:45 to 23:00, but Saturday is a single short window from 10:15 to 14:30. Nordland county rules govern the onward bus and boat, and they are stricter about luggage than most people expect.
- Weekday opening is 05:45 to 23:00. A long day, and early enough for the first departure.
- Saturday is 10:15 to 14:30 only. Just over four hours, and nothing before or after.
- Sunday is 12:45 to 23:00. No morning at all.

- Parking can be booked ahead or taken as drop-in, and Avinor publishes an overview of the parking areas.
- Parking is run by OnePark, with customer service open 24 hours a day.
- On county buses and express boats you may carry one hold bag up to 30 kg.
- Hand baggage is one bag up to 10 kg, maximum 50 x 40 x 30 cm, and it goes under the seat.
- Fresh fish and other organic material may not be carried on the bus, in the cabin or in the hold. On the Helgeland coast that is a real rule, not a formality.
- Electric bicycles are not carried on the bus at all. Ordinary bicycles travel free if there is room and the driver agrees.
- The Nordland travel guarantee can cover alternative transport when a bus or express boat is late or cancelled, but not ferries, not commercial routes, and not extraordinary weather.
- Use the journey planner rather than a printed timetable. It is the only version that carries deviations and holidays.
Opening hours
- Weekdays 05:45 to 23:00. Saturday 10:15 to 14:30. Sunday 12:45 to 23:00.
- The Saturday window is the one to plan around. If your flight is outside it, the terminal is not open, and at an airport this size that means no shelter, no desk and no help.
Parking
- Brønnøysund offers both pre-booked parking and drop-in, and Avinor publishes an overview of the parking areas.
- OnePark runs it, with customer service open 24 hours a day, every day.
Continuing by county bus or boat
- Nordland's public transport is coordinated by Reis Nordland, and its rules apply the moment you leave the terminal.
- Baggage: one hold bag up to 30 kg, one hand bag up to 10 kg at no more than 50 x 40 x 30 cm, placed under the seat. Above 30 kg you pay by the tariff.
- Fresh fish and other organic material cannot be brought on the bus or into the hold. This is Helgeland, where that rule gets tested.
- Electric bicycles are not carried. An ordinary bicycle travels free when there is space and the driver judges it safe; electric scooters must be folded before boarding.
- The travel guarantee can reimburse necessary alternative transport if a bus or express boat is delayed or cancelled. It does not apply to ferries, to commercial routes, or when the cause is extraordinary weather or anything else outside the operator's control. On this coast that exclusion bites.
- Reis Nordland's own advice is to use the journey planner rather than a printed timetable, because only the planner shows deviations and holidays. It adds a useful warning about ferries: if the planner shows a delay, still turn up at the original time, because the delay may be made up.
