Bergen Airport (BGO) to the city
Bergen Light Rail line 1 runs from the lower floor of the terminal into the city for NOK 51, and children travel free with an adult.

- The fare is NOK 51 for an adult, NOK 26 for children aged 6 to 17 and seniors, NOK 30 for students.
- The family discount is the standout: an adult can bring up to four children aged 6 to 17 free, every day, all year.
- It calls at Birkelandsskiftet, Lagunen, Nesttun and Bergen bus station on the way in.
- Bus 23 runs to Straume terminal if you are going south west rather than into the city.
- Buy in the Skyss Billett app, by SMS or at the machine on the platform.
The light rail
- Line 1, from the terminal's lower floor into the centre of Bergen. No shuttle, no walk.
- NOK 51 adult, NOK 26 child or senior, NOK 30 student, NOK 26 military.
- The stops on the way are interchanges: Birkelandsskiftet, Lagunen, Nesttun and Bergen bus station all have onward buses.
The family rule
- An adult may take up to four children aged 6 to 17 free, on every Skyss service, every day of the year.
- A family of two adults and four children pays NOK 102 in total for the airport journey.
- This is unusually generous and it is the single most valuable thing to know about Bergen's transport.

- Skyss tickets are not valid on the Airport Express Bus, which is priced separately.
- A 24 hour Skyss ticket is NOK 136 for one zone, worth it if you are moving around the city on arrival day.
