Stord (SRP): the cabin crew take your taxi booking on the flight from Oslo
Stord is municipally owned and independently run, with sixteen staff who do everything including security. Parking and charging are free, and cabin crew on the inbound from Oslo will book your taxi before you land.

Who actually runs this airport
- Stord is not an Avinor airport. The facility is owned by Stord municipality and operated by Sunnhordland Lufthavn AS, in which the municipality holds 79 per cent and Vestland county council 21 per cent.
- Sixteen full time equivalents perform every task on the field, including security. That is the whole staff.
- It opened in 1985, has a 1460 metre runway, and gained a new terminal and fire station in the 2000s. The airport says small security facilities are now the constraint and that a terminal extension and a new tower are planned.
- It is regularly used by aircraft and helicopters on search and rescue and medical transport, which is part of why the field exists at all.
The flights
- DAT operates the Stord to Oslo route, currently 16 round trips a week on an ATR-42 with 48 seats, taking about 50 minutes.
- If you are connecting onward from Oslo, buy it as one interline ticket rather than two separate ones. On a single ticket your bag is checked through and you change aircraft without collecting it, using Oslo's Connecting Norway domestic transfer. Two separate tickets are not interline, and you must reclaim the bag and check in again.
