Hasvik (HAA): one taxi, and only while the airport is open

There is no bus at Hasvik. Avinor lists a single taxi number, available during the airport's operating hours, plus a car ferry to Oksfjord and a fast boat to Hammerfest as the other ways off the island.

  • There is no airport bus. Avinor names taxi, ferry, fast boat and your own car.
  • The taxi is available during the airport's operating hours, not around the clock.
  • Book the taxi on 906 25 025. That is the number Avinor publishes.
  • A car ferry connects Hasvik with Oksfjord on the mainland.
  • A fast boat connects Hasvik with Hammerfest.
  • Parking at the airport is free, and all vehicles are parked at the owner's own risk.
  • Parking is run by OnePark, whose customer service answers 24 hours a day on 64 81 19 80.
  • Finnmark's bus network uses booked Fleks services on thin routes, which only run if somebody books them.
  • Fleks has a two hour booking deadline counted from the start of the route, and 21:00 the night before for a first morning departure.
  • A Fleks vehicle may be a four seat taxi, so book early and mention heavy luggage.
  • Bikes and dogs are not normally carried on Fleks without prior agreement.
  • Route enquiries 177, Snelandia customer service 75 77 18 88.

Getting to and from the airport

  • Hasvik is on Sørøya, and its airport has no bus service at all. Avinor's list is short and honest: taxi, ferry, fast boat, or your own car.
  • The taxi runs during the airport's operating hours and is booked on 906 25 025. Outside those hours there is nothing scheduled, so arrange the return leg when you arrive rather than assuming a car will be waiting.

Leaving the island by sea

  • A car ferry connects Hasvik with Øksfjord on the mainland.
  • A fast boat connects Hasvik with Hammerfest.
  • Both are useful alternatives when weather closes the airfield, which in this part of Finnmark is not unusual.

Parking

  • Free, with all vehicles parked at the owner's own risk. Operated by OnePark, customer service open 24 hours a day on 64 81 19 80.

If you continue by bus on the mainland

  • Finnmark's county network, Snelandia, runs Fleks services on thin routes. They appear on the timetable but only operate when booked.
  • Book at least two hours before the route starts, measured from the start of the route rather than from your stop, and by 21:00 the evening before for a first morning departure.
  • The vehicle is often a taxi with four seats. Prebooked passengers are prioritised, luggage space is limited, and bikes and dogs are not normally carried unless agreed in advance.
  • Route enquiries 177. Customer service 75 77 18 88.
