Hanamaki (HNA): the Ohasama line, and the station named after the airport

The region
- Hanamaki is the birthplace of Miyazawa Kenji, the poet and children's author, and has a museum devoted to him.
- Hanamaki Onsen is a large hot spring resort just outside the city.
- Morioka, about 40 km north, is the prefectural capital and the main destination for arrivals.
