What most people do
- Airport limousine buses run to Tokushima station timed to flights, and that is the standard connection.
- Taxis are available at the terminal. The city is about 10 km south.
Orientation
- The airport is in Matsushige, on the coast north of Tokushima city.
- It shares its runway with the Tokushima Air Base, a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force facility, which is why the air base main gate appears as a nearby stop.
- Naruto, with its famous whirlpools and the bridge to Awaji island, is a short distance north.
- The airport takes its name from the Awa Odori, the dance festival held in Tokushima each August.
