Bremen Airport (BRE) to the city
Tram line 6 runs from the Central Station to the terminal every 10 minutes on an ordinary 3.40 EUR city ticket.
- Tram line 6 is the airport link, from Bremen Central Station via the city and the university.
- Every 10 minutes through the day, every 30 minutes at quieter times.
- A single ticket in Bremen (Preisstufe I) is 3.40 EUR, or 1.70 EUR for a child.
- A day ticket is 9.50 EUR and a ten journey ticket 16.70 EUR.
- A taxi costs around 10.00 EUR and takes about 20 minutes, which is unusually close for an airport.
- The airport is 15 minutes from the city centre by bicycle, with free bicycle parking in front of Terminal 2.
The tram
- Line 6 runs to the terminal, calling at the Central Station, the city centre and the university.
- Every 10 minutes in the day and every 30 minutes off peak.
- It is an ordinary city tram, so the fare is an ordinary city fare.
The fares
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Single, Preisstufe I | 3.40 EUR (child 1.70 EUR) |
| Four journey ticket | 12.80 EUR |
| Ten journey ticket | 16.70 EUR |
| Day ticket | 9.50 EUR |
| Seven day ticket | 28.60 EUR |
- A four journey ticket costs less than four singles. Two people going in and out is exactly four journeys.
How close it is
- A taxi is about 10.00 EUR and 20 minutes. For two or three people arriving late that is a reasonable alternative to the tram.
- Fifteen minutes by bicycle from the city centre, with free bicycle parking outside Terminal 2. Very few airports are inside their city like this.
