Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport (FKB) to the cities
Direct buses connect the terminal with Baden-Baden, Buehl and Rastatt railway stations on ordinary KVV tickets, from 3.50 EUR.
- Direct buses run to the railway stations at Baden-Baden, Buehl and Rastatt.
- A KVV single ticket is 3.50 EUR for an adult and 1.90 EUR for a child aged 6 to 14.
- Rail and Fly tickets are not valid on the buses to and from this airport. That is the trap here.
- A KVV ticket machine stands at the bus stops in front of the passenger terminal.
- Baden-Baden station is the main line stop, on the fast route between Karlsruhe and Freiburg.
- The airport is at Soellingen, out between the two cities it is named after, and neither is walking distance.
The buses
- Three railway stations are served directly: Baden-Baden, Buehl and Rastatt.
- A KVV ticket machine stands at the stops in front of the terminal, so buy before boarding.
- On departure you can also buy a bus ticket in front of the terminal.
The Rail and Fly problem
- Rail and Fly tickets are explicitly not valid on the bus routes to and from this airport.
- Anyone arriving on a through air and rail booking must still buy a bus ticket, and that catches people out.
The fare
- A KVV single is 3.50 EUR, or 1.90 EUR for a child aged 6 to 14, in prices valid from 1 August 2025.
- Single tickets are valid for one journey in the direction of the destination and allow breaks and changes of direction within the validity period.
Where you actually are
- The terminal is at Soellingen, between Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden rather than beside either.
- Baden-Baden station is the useful connection, on the main line south from Karlsruhe.
