Rostock-Laage (RLG): the only bus is one you have to book first
The airport lists no scheduled public transport. The rubi on-demand bus runs without a timetable and must be booked in advance. And the B 103 is fully closed until 30 October 2026.
- The airport is 28 km from Rostock, at the A19/A20 motorway junction near Laage.
- There is no scheduled bus or train in the airport's own access information.
- The only public option listed is "rubi", an on-demand bus that runs without a fixed timetable within its service hours.
- rubi must be booked in advance, at rebus.de/rubi, on 03843 6940-0 or at info@rebus.de.
- The B 103 is fully closed between the A19 Laage junction and the B 108 crossing, from 3 September to 30 October 2026, for resurfacing.
- Use the A19 and follow the signed diversion via Laage and Diekhof. Allow extra time.
- From Rostock or Berlin: A19, exit Laage. From Hamburg or Luebeck: A20 to the Rostock interchange, then A19 towards Berlin, exit Laage.
- Hire cars must be booked in advance, from Europcar, Sixt, AVIS or City-Car.
- The airport passenger service will put you in touch with local taxi firms, at info@rostock-airport.de. It does not list a rank.
- There are 1,000 parking spaces, all lit and video-monitored, with a digital display showing free bays.
- Pay at the machine by EC or credit card (Visa, Mastercard), or in cash with 5, 10 and 20 euro notes.
- Passengers with a severe disability pass from 50 percent park free, activated at the check-in desk with the pass and boarding card. No advance reservation is possible.
Getting there without a car is the problem
- The airport is 28 km from Rostock. That is a long way to be without a scheduled service.
- The airport's access page lists no scheduled bus and no train. What it lists is rubi.
- rubi is an on-demand bus run by rebus. It has no fixed timetable and takes you from your starting stop to your destination stop within its operating hours.

- Plan this before you fly, not after you land.
The road is shut until the end of October
- The B 103 is fully closed between the A19 Laage junction and the crossing with the B 108, from 3 September to about 30 October 2026, for resurfacing.
- The airport recommends using the A19 and following the signed diversion, with through traffic routed via Laage and Diekhof.
- The work moves in stages: from 3 September the A19 junction to the L13/Weitendorf node, from about 5 October Weitendorf to the Daimler-Benz-Allee crossing, then Daimler-Benz-Allee to the B 108.
- Allow extra time. The airport says so itself.
By car
- From Rostock or Berlin: A19, exit Laage, then follow signs for "Flughafen Rostock-Laage".
- From Hamburg or Luebeck: A20 to the Rostock interchange, then A19 towards Berlin, exit Laage.
- From Western Pomerania or Szczecin: the same, A20 then A19.
Parking
- 1,000 spaces, all lit and video-monitored, with a digital display showing where the free bays are.
- Pay at the machine by EC card or credit card (Visa, Mastercard), or in cash with 5, 10 or 20 euro notes.
- P1 Premium gives 30 minutes free, then 3.00 euro for an hour.
- Passengers holding a severe disability pass from 50 percent park free. Activate it at the check-in desk with the pass and your boarding card; there is no advance reservation, and the airport says there is enough space.
Car hire and taxi
- Hire cars must be booked in advance: Europcar, Sixt, AVIS or City-Car.
- There is no taxi rank listed. The airport's passenger service will pass on contact details for local firms, at info@rostock-airport.de.
