Nordholz/Spieka (FCN): suspended, and the turning is not obvious
OFD shows all Helgoland flights suspended from here too. If you are driving, the airfield asks you to head towards the motorway at the roundabout and turn left immediately.

- The published fare is 155 euro one way, 60 euro for a child up to 2.
- The airfield address is Flugplatz Spieka, Wanhoedener Str. 2, 27639 Wurster Nordseekueste.
- The access road is easy to miss. Just before the destination, take the roundabout towards the motorway and then turn left again immediately; the airport approach then runs parallel to the Bundesstrasse.
- This is the Sportflugplatz, not the neighbouring naval air station.
- Helgoland's airfield is on the Duene, so allow for a taxi and a ferry at the far end.
- OFD also runs 15 minute sightseeing flights over Helgoland and the Duene, past the Lange Anna and the red cliffs.
- Heide/Buesum is the other mainland base for the same route, at the same fare and flight time.

Finding it
- The address is Flugplatz Spieka, Wanhoedener Str. 2, 27639 Wurster Nordseekueste.
- The airfield gives an explicit warning about the approach: shortly before your destination, take the roundabout towards the motorway and then turn left again straight away. The access road runs for a stretch parallel to the Bundesstrasse.
- This is the Sportflugplatz. The neighbouring Nordholz naval air station is a different place with a different entrance.
At the other end
- Helgoland's airfield is on the Duene, the neighbouring islet. From there a taxi covers about 900 m to the ferry jetty and a half-hourly boat takes five minutes to the main island, berthing 150 m from the centre.
- OFD also sells a 15 minute sightseeing flight over Helgoland and the Duene, past the Lange Anna and the red cliffs.
