Hamburg Airport (HAM) to the city
S-Bahn S1 runs from under the terminals to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof in 25 minutes, every 10 minutes, on a normal 4.10 EUR ticket.
- S-Bahn line S1 runs every 10 minutes and takes 25 minutes to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof.
- The station is under the terminals, reached from Terminals 1 and 2 arrivals by lift, escalator or stairs.
- A single ticket for 1 to 2 fare rings is 4.10 EUR, and a child pays 1.50 EUR.
- A day ticket is 8.20 EUR, so two journeys already justify it.
- A group ticket at 16.40 EUR covers up to five people of any age, all day.
- Buying in the hvv online shop or app saves 7 percent.
The train
- S1, every 10 minutes, 25 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof. It is a city S-Bahn line, not an airport product.
- The station is directly beneath the terminals, so there is nothing to find.
- The line continues through the city centre to Altona and Wedel, which covers most hotel districts without a change.

- 7 percent off in the online shop and the hvv apps.
- In Hamburg the ticket machines need the hvv prepaid card, though the apps take ordinary payment. Outside the Hamburg AB zone you can still pay cash.
