Chongqing Jiangbei (CKG) to the city

Metro line 10 runs into Terminal 3, and since April 2025 the exit level has its own check-in and security area. Every flight now uses T3. Rail fares run CNY 2 to CNY 10 by distance.

  • All flights use Terminal 3. Since 23 December 2025 every domestic and international service at Jiangbei departs from T3.
  • Metro line 10 arrives underneath it, and line 3 serves T2, from where a free shuttle or line 10 reaches T3.
  • There is a check-in hall on the metro exit level. Level B1 of T3, opened 9 April 2025, has 22 positions for boarding passes, bag drop and security, open to any T3 passenger whatever the airline.
  • T3B is a satellite. Check-in, baggage and security are all at T3A; gates J, K, L and M are reached by people mover afterwards.
  • T3B is domestic only. International departures and arrivals stay at T3A.
  • Rail fares are CNY 2 up to 6 km, rising by band to CNY 10 beyond 63 km.
  • One hour free transfers in the main city. If the second fare is lower than the first and no more than CNY 2, the change is free.
  • One child under 1.2 m travels free with each adult.

Everything is at Terminal 3 now

  • From 23 December 2025 all domestic and international flights at Chongqing Jiangbei operate from Terminal 3. Sichuan Airlines, China Express, Donghai Airlines and Hunan Airlines were the last four to move across from T2.
  • T2 is being reworked to be used together with T1 after a systems update.
  • If you go to the wrong terminal, it is recoverable: the free airport shuttle bus and metro line 10 both link them.

The check-in hall on the metro platform level

  • Since 9 April 2025, level B1 of Terminal 3, which is the exit level of metro line 10, has its own check-in and security area.
  • It handles everything: boarding passes, checked baggage and security screening, with 22 positions including self-service boarding pass printing and self-service bag drop.
  • It is open to every T3 passenger, whatever the airline and whether the flight leaves from T3A or T3B.
  • The security lanes there read ID cards and do facial verification, which is what makes them quick.
  • The original departures hall on level L4 works exactly as before for anyone who prefers it.

T3A and T3B

  • T3B is a satellite terminal, so it has no check-in of its own. Everything is done at T3A first.
  • If your gate is J, K, L or M, you ride the people mover to T3B after security.
  • T3B is for domestic flights only. International departures and arrivals are all at T3A.
  • Domestic arrivals are met on level L2 of T3A, at the domestic exit.

Fares

  • CNY 2 for up to 6 km, then CNY 3 to 11 km, CNY 4 to 17 km, CNY 5 to 24 km, CNY 6 to 32 km, CNY 7 to 41 km, CNY 8 to 51 km, CNY 9 to 63 km and CNY 10 beyond.
  • A single journey is calculated over 180 minutes, so a slow trip with changes still counts as one fare.
  • Student cards with the electronic wallet are half price, and ordinary and adult discount cards get 10 percent off.
  • Free travel for people over 65, disabled veterans, police disabled in the line of duty and blind passengers with valid documents; half price for grade 3 and 4 disabled passengers with a care card.
  • Each adult may bring one child under 1.2 m free.

The transfer rule

  • The main city area runs a one hour free transfer.
  • If the second fare is lower than the first and no more than CNY 2, the transfer is free.
  • If it is more than CNY 2, you get CNY 2 off.
  • That takes most of the sting out of a change, which matters here because line 3 and line 10 serve different terminals.
