Ningbo Lishe (NGB): metro line 2, and the coaches to other cities
Line 2 reaches the airport and downtown is about 22 minutes for 2 to 6 yuan. Coaches run to Zhoushan, Yiwu, Yuyao and Cixi.
- Metro line 2 serves Lishe International Airport station.
- Downtown is about nine stations and 22 minutes away.
- The fare is 2 to 6 yuan.
- Line 2 reaches the passenger transport centre, Ningbo railway station, the City God Temple and the Drum Tower, which covers most of where arrivals are going.
- The airport coach costs 12 yuan and takes about 40 minutes, running every 30 minutes.
- It calls at the passenger transport central station and the south bus station.
- Coming out from the city the coach leaves from the CAAC ticket office at 91 Xingning Lu, at 05:45 and then hourly from 07:00 to 18:00.
- From the airport the coach departs according to flight arrivals, which is what makes it useful late.
- Direct coaches run to other cities: Zhoushan for 60 yuan, Yiwu for 69, Yuyao for 32 and Cixi for 37.
- The Zhoushan coach is the one to note, because it saves a change in Ningbo for the islands.
The metro
- Metro line 2 serves the airport, at Lishe International Airport station.
- Downtown is about nine stations and 22 minutes, for 2 to 6 yuan.
- Line 2 runs through the passenger transport centre, Ningbo railway station, the City God Temple and the Drum Tower. For most visitors that is the whole list of useful destinations on one line.
- This is the default. It is the cheapest way in and it is not appreciably slower than anything else.
The coach
- The airport coach costs 12 yuan and takes about 40 minutes, every half hour.
- It calls at the passenger transport central station and the south bus station.
- From the airport it departs in line with flight arrivals, so it covers late landings that the metro does not.
- In the other direction it leaves from the CAAC ticket office at 91 Xingning Lu, at 05:45 and then hourly from 07:00 to 18:00. The 05:45 is the one that gets you to an early flight.
Coaches to other cities
- Zhoushan: 60 yuan. This is the useful one, because Zhoushan is the gateway to Putuoshan and the islands, and going by way of central Ningbo wastes an hour.
- Yiwu: 69 yuan, for the wholesale markets.
- Yuyao: 32 yuan.
- Cixi: 37 yuan.
- Each runs to a fixed timetable rather than turn up and go, so check the departure times before counting on one.
