Xuzhou Guanyin (XUZ): the airport is in Suining county, and its own coach fare is four years out of date

The airport is 40 km southeast of Xuzhou, in Shuanggou town in Suining county, not in the city. The coach page on the airport site is dated January 2022 and says 25 yuan; a timetable published on 30 April 2026 says 30. Budget for 30 and expect the route list to have moved too.

  • The airport is 40 km southeast of Xuzhou, and its postal address is Shuanggou town, Suining county, not the city.
  • The coach page on the airport's own website carries a publication date of 20 January 2022. Treat every figure on it as indicative.
  • The city coach fare is quoted at 25 yuan by the airport and at 30 yuan by a timetable published on 30 April 2026. The two disagree. Carry 30.
  • The city line runs from Xuzhou Bus Terminal, beside the old railway station, calling at the ceramics market and the south bus station.
  • First departure from the bus terminal is 06:00. The later timetable adds half-hourly runs and pushes the last departure to 20:00.
  • A second city line runs from Xuzhou East bus station, beside the high-speed railway station, first departure 08:40.
  • Coaches back from the airport are dispatched as flights land, not to a fixed clock.
  • A door-to-door service is quoted at 40 yuan by the airport and at 35 yuan by the 2026 timetable. Book it on the WeChat account rather than at a desk.
  • The regional network reaches four provinces, including Fengxian, Peixian, Xinyi, Pizhou, Suqian, Zaozhuang, Lianyungang, Yongcheng, Huaibei and Suzhou.
  • Lianyungang is the longest run at 120 yuan and Pizhou the cheapest at 40.
  • Eleven city check-in terminals sell the coach tickets, in Jiangsu, Henan, Shandong and Anhui.
  • The enquiry and complaints line is 0516 83707677, staffed 08:30 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00.

Where this airport actually is

  • Xuzhou Guanyin is 40 km southeast of Xuzhou city. The airport's own parking notice gives the address as Shuanggou town, Suining county, which is a different county from the one most visitors think they are landing in. Motorways and a national road run to the door, but nothing walks.
  • It opened on 8 November 1997, has a 3400 metre runway, 22 stands and a 58,000 square metre terminal, and is rated 4D.

The fare nobody has updated

  • The airport publishes its coach timetable on a page stamped 20 January 2022. That page says the city line from Xuzhou Bus Terminal, beside the old railway station, costs 25 yuan.
  • A timetable published on 30 April 2026 by a Xuzhou travel publisher gives the same line at 30 yuan, with a denser clock (extra runs at 11:30, 13:30, 15:30 and 17:30) and a last departure at 20:00 rather than 19:00.
  • The two sources disagree and neither has been superseded on the airport's own site. Budget 30 yuan and treat the airport page as the older of the two.
  • The same split applies to the door-to-door service: 40 yuan on the airport page, 35 yuan on the 2026 one.

The two city lines

  • Xuzhou Bus Terminal (old railway station) to the airport, via the ceramics market and the south bus station. First departure 06:00.
  • Xuzhou East bus station (high-speed railway station) to the airport, via Midea Plaza, in a minibus. First departure 08:40.
  • Return coaches are dispatched as flights land, adjusted to the actual arrival time, so there is no published clock for the airport to city direction. Ask at the ticket desk in arrivals.

The regional network, which is the real story

  • Xuzhou Guanyin feeds a catchment across four provinces. Scheduled coaches run from Fengxian (70 yuan), Peixian (60), Xinyi (60 to 66), Pizhou (40), Suqian (50), Zaozhuang high-speed station (60), Lianyungang (120), Yongcheng (100), Huaibei (80) and Suzhou (60).
  • Eleven city check-in terminals sell these tickets and act as the town-end stop, in Jiangsu, Henan, Shandong and Anhui: Fengxian, Yongcheng, Xiayi, Suining, Zaozhuang, Shangqiu, Xiaoxian, Lingbi, Suzhou, Dangshan and Huaibei.
  • If you are boarding at an intermediate stop rather than a terminus, buy the ticket on the coach, which is what the airport tells passengers to do.
  • Enquiries and complaints: 0516 83707677, working hours 08:30 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00.

Xuzhou Guanyin (XUZ): there is a high-speed rail station called Guanyin Airport, and it is not at the airport

The Xu Su Huai Yan high-speed line has a station named after the airport, which reads on a map as a rail link to the terminal. It is not. A separate 3 yuan shuttle connects the two and runs to the train timetable, leaving the terminal 30 minutes before each departure.

  • Guanyin Airport station is a high-speed rail station named after the airport, not a station at the airport.
  • A paid shuttle connects the terminal to the station. It is 3 yuan per trip.
  • From the terminal it leaves 30 minutes before each train departs, and the vehicle reaches the pick-up point 40 minutes before.
  • The terminal-end pick-up is the car park in front of the building, not a platform or a concourse.
  • From the station it leaves 15 minutes after each train arrives, 12 times a day, from the car park outside the exit.
  • The whole timetable moves daily with the train timetable. There is no fixed clock.
  • The high-speed stations in the Xuzhou area are Xuzhou East, Xinyi South, Suining, Guanyin Airport and Pizhou East.
  • The taxi rank is outside arrivals at T2, ground floor, 15 metres to the right of door 2.
  • Taxis charge the Xuzhou city meter, plus the low-speed and fuel surcharges; tolls are on you.
  • Parking is free for the first 30 minutes, then 5 yuan for up to two hours, then 2 yuan per further half hour, capped at 30 yuan in 24 hours.
  • Yellow-plate vehicles pay double: 10 yuan for two hours, 3 yuan per half hour after, capped at 60.
  • 1800 spaces, including 36 for disabled drivers and 105 with charging, and a bookable accessible bay on 17712980900.

The station that is not at the airport

  • The Xu Su Huai Yan high-speed railway opened a station called Guanyin Airport. On a map that looks like a rail link to the terminal. It is a separate site, and the airport runs a paid shuttle between the two.
  • The shuttle is 3 yuan a trip. Its timetable is rebuilt every day from the train timetable.
  • Leaving the airport: the shuttle departs the terminal 30 minutes before each train departs, and the vehicle arrives at the pick-up point 40 minutes before. The pick-up is the car park in front of the terminal building.
  • Arriving by train: the shuttle leaves the station 15 minutes after each train gets in, 12 times a day, from the car park outside the station exit.
  • Because both directions are pinned to trains and not to a clock, a delayed flight can leave you with no shuttle until the next train. The city coaches from the terminal are the fallback.
  • Xuzhou's high-speed stations are Xuzhou East, Xinyi South, Suining, Guanyin Airport and Pizhou East. The airport also runs coaches to Xuzhou East and to Xuzhou station in the city.

Taxis and cars

  • The taxi rank is outside the T2 arrivals hall on the ground floor, 15 metres to the right-front of door 2. Queue there rather than accepting an approach inside.
  • Fares are the Xuzhou city meter, with the low-speed and fuel surcharges added as regulated and tolls paid by the passenger. Keep the meter receipt and the vehicle number; complaints go to 12345 or the transport line 12328.
  • Car hire desks are under the west viaduct beside T2.
  • Charging: the C3 zone of the car park in front of T2 has six large units serving up to 48 electric cars at once.

Parking

  • Free for the first 30 minutes. After that, a blue or black plate pays 5 yuan for up to two hours, then 2 yuan per started half hour, with a 30 yuan ceiling in 24 hours; beyond 24 hours the count restarts.
  • Yellow plates pay 10 yuan for two hours, 3 yuan per half hour after, capped at 60.
  • 1800 spaces over 60,000 square metres, of which 36 are for disabled drivers and 105 have charging. A disabled driver's vehicle displaying the police-issued plate parks free.
  • Accessible bays can be reserved on 17712980900, which also takes car park enquiries.
