Yangzhou Taizhou (YTY): east Yangzhou or west Yangzhou, and the 05:10 bus
Two Yangzhou coach lines at 30 and 25 yuan run to different city terminals. Regional lines cover the towns. Early departures need the customised bus.
- The airport sits between Yangzhou and Taizhou and is named for both.
- Two coach lines serve Yangzhou, and they go to different places.
- The west Yangzhou line costs 30 yuan and uses the terminal at 252 Yangzwei Road.
- The east Yangzhou line costs 25 yuan and uses the terminal at Yunhe City Plaza, 1 Wenchang Middle Road.
- Check which side of Yangzhou your hotel is on before buying, because the two lines do not meet.
- From the airport, the west line runs 09:00 to 22:00 and the east line 09:30 to midnight.
- For an early flight both lines run a customised bus, west at 05:10 and east at 05:30, before the ordinary 07:00 start.
- A coach runs to Zhenjiang South railway station for 50 yuan, five departures each way.
- Regional lines serve Jiangdu, Gaoyou, Baoying, Taixing, Xinghua and Tianchang, from 15 to 60 yuan.
- There is no rail link to the airport; every option here is a road one.
Two cities, two Yangzhou terminals
- The airport is shared between Yangzhou and Taizhou and was built between them, which is why nothing here is a five minute transfer.
- Yangzhou has two coach lines, not one, and they end in different parts of the city.
- West Yangzhou line: 30 yuan, ending at the terminal at 252 Yangzwei Road.
- East Yangzhou line: 25 yuan, ending at Yunhe City Plaza, 1 Wenchang Middle Road.
- Work out which half of the city you need before you board. The two lines are separate services and crossing between their terminals is a further taxi.
The timetable, and the early bus
- From the airport the west line runs from 09:00 through to 22:00, and the east line from 09:30 through to midnight.
- Into the airport both start with a customised bus before the regular service: 05:10 on the west line and 05:30 on the east, then hourly from 07:00.
- Those two early departures are the only public way to a dawn flight. Everything else starts at 07:00.
Further afield
- Zhenjiang South railway station: 50 yuan, five departures each way. Zhenjiang South is on the Beijing to Shanghai high speed line, which this airport is not near.
- Regional lines run to Jiangdu, Gaoyou, Baoying, Taixing, Xinghua and Tianchang, at fares between 15 and 60 yuan depending on distance.
- Taizhou is served from its own terminals on the other side of the airport.
What is not here
- There is no railway station at the airport and no metro.
- Every journey to or from this airport is by road, so build in traffic time rather than assuming a fixed transfer.
