Nanning Wuxu (NNG): the four coach lines, and the 3 yuan bus
No metro reaches the airport. Four coach lines cost 20 yuan and cover the railway stations and the centre. City bus 301 costs 3.
- No metro reaches the airport, whatever some guides say. Nanning has a metro; it stops short of Wuxu.
- Four airport coach lines run, all at 20 yuan.
- Line 1 goes to Nanning railway station, 05:30 to 22:30, every 30 minutes, about 40 minutes.
- Line 2 goes to the Nanning International Hotel, 05:30 to 21:00 from the airport, about 50 minutes.
- Line 3 goes to the Xixiangtang zoo, 09:00 to 22:00 from the airport, hourly.
- Line 4 goes to Nanning East railway station, 09:00 to 19:30, every 45 minutes.
- Nanning East is the high speed station, so line 4 is the one for onward trains.
- City bus 301 runs to Chaoyang Square for 3 yuan, 06:00 to 20:30, every 15 to 20 minutes.
- The airport has no railway station of its own.
- A daytime taxi is 100 to 120 yuan between 06:00 and 23:00.
There is no metro
- Nanning Wuxu is not on the metro. Some listings say line 2 reaches terminal 2; it does not.
- That leaves the coach, the city bus or a taxi, and the coach is what most arrivals use.
The four coach lines, all 20 yuan
- Line 1: airport to Nanning railway station, calling at the Nahong interchange and the Nanning Hotel. 05:30 to 22:30, every 30 minutes, about 40 minutes. This is the main line and it has the longest hours.
- Line 2: airport to the Nanning International Hotel. From the airport 05:30 to 21:00, back from the hotel 05:30 to 23:00, every 30 minutes, about 50 minutes.
- Line 3: airport to the Xixiangtang zoo. From the airport 09:00 to 22:00, back 06:00 to 19:00, hourly, 50 to 60 minutes.
- Line 4: airport to Nanning East railway station. From the airport 09:00 to 19:30, back 10:45 to 19:00, every 45 minutes, about an hour.
- Take line 4 if you are catching a high speed train, because Nanning East is where they leave from and it is on the far side of the city.
The cheap way
- City bus 301 runs between the airport and Chaoyang Square in the centre.
- It costs 3 yuan and runs 06:00 to 20:30, every 15 to 20 minutes.
- It is a seventh of the coach fare and takes longer, which is the trade you are making.
Taxis
- Between 06:00 and 23:00 expect 100 to 120 yuan depending on where in the city you are going.
- The airport is roughly 30 km out, so this is a real journey rather than a hop.
