Yining (YIN): the airport bus is a 1 yuan city route, and it is finished by 21:00
Yining municipal government publishes every bus route, fare and first and last departure. Two routes call at the airport, route 19 terminates there, and the flat fare across the whole network is 1 yuan. Nothing starts before 07:50 or runs after 21:00.
- Route 19 terminates at Yining Airport. It is the airport service, not route 3, whatever the guides say.
- Route 19 runs from the municipal social insurance bureau to the airport, 25 stops, 29.76 km round trip.
- Route 19 has nine vehicles, first bus 07:50, last bus 21:00, every 15 to 25 minutes.
- Route 3 also calls at the airport, on its way from the Ili Silk Road Vocational College to Xingguang residential estate, 33 stops.
- Route 3 has 21 vehicles, first bus 07:50, last bus 21:00, every 10 to 15 minutes.
- The airport stop is the interchange between routes 3 and 19.
- The flat fare is 1 yuan per trip on every numbered city route. No zones, no distance bands.
- Serving and retired military, disabled veterans and their dependants travel free with a card, as do over 65s and the registered visually impaired.
- Children under 1.10 m travel free, one per paying passenger.
- A student card is 30 yuan a month for 120 rides.
- Nothing runs before 07:50 or after 21:00. Early and late flights need a taxi.

The one source that answers, and what it says
- No airport-operated page for Yining could be read from here. The Yining municipal government publishes something better: a document listing every city bus route, every stop, the fleet size, the fare and the first and last departure. It is dated May 2025.
- Two routes call at the airport, and route 19 terminates there, which makes it the airport service in practice.
Route 19, the airport line
- Yining social insurance bureau to Yining Airport, 25 stops, 29.76 km for the round trip, via Huangjin Haian, Xiangshuiwan, Yining no. 22 middle school, Guangdong Road junction, Binhe Jiayuan, Yining no. 16 middle school, the hydrological station, Huacheng department store, Liuxing Street, the 946th PLA hospital, Meijing Huating, Kunlun Road junction, Yining no. 26 middle school, the ring road junction and the forestry science building.
- Nine vehicles. First bus 07:50, last bus 21:00, every 15 to 25 minutes.
Route 3, which also stops there
- Ili Silk Road Vocational College to Xingguang estate, 33 stops, 31.2 km round trip, calling at Yining Airport between the fourth division veterinary station and the ring road junction, and continuing through the west bridge, the prefectural friendship hospital, the power company and on to the Ili river bridge.
- 21 vehicles. First bus 07:50, last bus 21:00, every 10 to 15 minutes.
- Yining Airport is listed as an interchange point between routes 3 and 19, so you can change there without going into town.
Fares, and who does not pay
- One yuan a trip, flat, on every numbered city route. The only exceptions in the whole network are the Su special line at 5 yuan and the tourist line at 5 yuan a day.
- Free with the relevant card: serving military, veterans, disabled veterans and the three categories of military dependants; anyone over 65; the registered visually impaired. Children under 1.10 m travel free, one child per paying passenger, and any extra child pays.
- A student card costs 30 yuan a month and covers 120 rides.

What to do outside 07:50 to 21:00
- There is no bus. The published airport coach runs to the Air China ticket office on Nanjing Road, beside the World Trade Building, at 10 yuan, but the source for that is an airline reference page with no date on it, so treat it as a lead rather than a timetable.
- The same page quotes a taxi from the arrivals hall to Nianzigou at 33 to 50 yuan, 30 yuan in a blue-plate car and 20 yuan on a shift change or a return run, taking about 30 minutes. Again undated.
- The airport enquiry line is 0999 8222332, and it is the thing to ring before an early or late flight.
