Dalian Zhoushuizi (DLC): metro line 2 at the terminal, and a very short trip in
The airport is inside the city. Line 2 runs from the terminal to Zhongshan Square in 25 to 30 minutes for a few yuan.
- Metro line 2 has a station at the terminal, called simply Airport.
- Zhongshan Square, in the centre, is about 25 to 30 minutes away.
- The fare is 2 yuan for short trips, rising to about 4 to 6.
- Trains run about 05:55 to 22:05, every four to five minutes.
- The airport is inside Dalian, not out in the country, which is why the numbers are this small.
- The airport coach runs 07:45 until the last flight lands, for 10 yuan, by way of Heping Square, Olympic Square and Peoples Square.
- A long list of city buses calls at the airport: 9, 46, 532, 701, 710, 905, 908, 1101, 1104, 1105, 1106, 1201, 1301, 1302 and 2003.
- Taxi to Dalian railway station is 30 to 40 yuan, about 30 minutes.
- Taxi to Dalian North railway station is 40 to 50 yuan, 35 to 40 minutes.
- Xinghai Park is 30 to 40 yuan and Tiger Beach 40 to 50.
A city airport
- Zhoushuizi is inside Dalian, about 10 km from the centre. That single fact explains why every price on this page is small and every journey short.
- Metro line 2 has a station at the terminal, named Airport.
- Trains run from about 05:55 to 22:05, every four to five minutes, which is a proper turn up and go frequency rather than an airport shuttle timetable.
- Zhongshan Square, the middle of the old city, is 25 to 30 minutes.
- Fares start at 2 yuan and reach about 4 to 6 for the length of the line.
The coach
- One airport coach line runs into town by way of Heping Square, Olympic Square and Peoples Square.
- It runs from 07:45 until the last flight arrives and costs 10 yuan.
- With the metro running to 22:05 and costing a quarter of that, the coach matters mainly for late arrivals and for anyone staying next to one of its stops.
The city buses
- Fifteen city routes call at the airport: 9, 46, 532, 701, 710, 905, 908, 1101, 1104, 1105, 1106, 1201, 1301, 1302 and 2003.
- This is what a city airport looks like on a bus map. For most arrivals the metro is simpler, but if your hotel is on one of these routes it is a direct ride.
Taxis
- Dalian railway station: 30 to 40 yuan, about 30 minutes.
- Dalian North railway station: 40 to 50 yuan, 35 to 40 minutes.
- Xinghai Park: 30 to 40 yuan, 30 minutes.
- Tiger Beach Ocean Park: 40 to 50 yuan, 40 minutes.
- These are among the lowest airport taxi fares of any major Chinese city, again because of where the airport is.
