Getting from Yiwu Airport to the city

The operator's page is out of date, and the city's numbering is what you need

• The Zhejiang Provincial Airport Group page for Yiwu lists a bus called Y102, running 06:00 to 17:30 every 15 to 20 minutes at 1.5 yuan, automatic ticketing with no change given, and then a heading for a "route 800 special line" with nothing underneath it.
• The city runs the airport services as 811 (civil aviation special line 1), 812 (line 2) and 813 (line 3), and all Yiwu urban and rural buses have been a flat 2 yuan since 1 January 2022, so the 1.5 yuan on the operator's page is a pre-2022 figure. Rural branch lines are 1 yuan and BRT is 3.
• Where the two disagree, carry 2 yuan. The stop list on the operator's page is still broadly recognisable, ending at the International Trade City.

Which line you want, and when it stops

• 813, airport to Yiwu railway station. Total 5.6 km, basic fare 2 yuan. From the airport 06:00 to 22:00, from the station 06:30 to 22:15, every 30 to 60 minutes. This is the only airport bus that is still running in the evening, and from the railway station the whole city and the high-speed network are open to you.
• 812, the loop to the International Trade City coach centre. From the airport 05:58 to 17:00, from the coach centre 06:48 to 17:50, every 15 to 30 minutes. Thirty-odd stops through Tangtan, Liuqing, Binwang and Futian. If you land after five in the afternoon this bus is finished.
• 811, airport to the Ocean Hotel. Two fixed departures, 07:00 and 17:20, plus runs dispatched against flight arrivals, calling at Tianheng Hotel, the public security bureau, Hong Kong City, Xiaozici, Binwang market, the Crowne Plaza and International Trade City zone one east before the hotel.

Taxis, ride-hailing and the distances that matter

• Taxis wait to the right of door 1 on the terminal ground floor. Ride-hailing cars pick up to the left of the same door. They are not the same queue and the signs are easy to walk past.
• Yiwu taxis start at 5 yuan with a 2.5 yuan fuel surcharge.
• The distance quoted for this airport is 5.5 km to the city centre, which is true and misleading. The distances that matter to a trade visitor are 12 km to the International Trade City, 10 km to the trade district, Binwang market and the trade city coach centre, 8 km to the Xingfuhu international conference centre, 11 km to Nanfanglian, 13 km to Jiangdong coach station and 5 km to Yiwu railway station.

Parking and the terminals

• The public car park is directly opposite the domestic departures terminal, and taxis are barred from it. There is a 5 km/h limit, no horns, and no washing or repairing cars on site.
• Yiwu has two terminals, T1 for domestic and T2 for international, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, together about 30,000 square metres, on a single 3000 metre runway with 11 stands. It is a joint civil and military field, opened in April 1991 and expanded four times.
