Long Beach (LGB): the airport lists a bus route that no longer exists, and the one that matters stops at Lot A
The airport names Long Beach Transit routes 102, 104, 111 and 405. Long Beach Transit has no route 102 in its current network. Route 111 is the useful one and it calls at a stop on the airport itself, hourly until after ten at night.
- Ignore the route 102 link on the airport's transportation page. Long Beach Transit's current network, valid 23 August 2026 to 6 February 2027, contains routes 101 and 103 but no 102.
- Route 111 is the one to take. It calls at the stop named Long Beach Airport / Lot A, on airport property.
- Route 111 to downtown Long Beach: 05:24 to 22:23 on weekdays, about 18 departures, and 06:22 to 22:22 at weekends.
- Route 104, branded Spring Via Airport, runs 05:36 to 20:39 on weekdays with around 30 departures, but collapses to a dozen trips at weekends, the last around 18:25.
- The fare is $1.25 a ride, $4 for a day pass. Tap a contactless card or a phone wallet at the validator on board; Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, UnionPay and JCB are accepted.
- Route 405, the UCLA Westwood Express, also calls here, at the Long Beach Airport and Donald Douglas Drive stop: three trips to UCLA between 05:17 and 06:50 and three back between 17:25 and 19:20, weekdays only.
- The nearest rail is Wardlow station on the Metro A Line, and the airport publishes the cab fare from Wardlow to the airport: $13.35.
- The taxi meter is published: $3.10 to start, $2.97 a mile, and $0.37 for each 37 seconds in traffic or waiting.
- Flat taxi fares are published too: LAX $75, downtown Los Angeles $85, San Pedro and the cruise terminals $50, Disneyland, the Anaheim Convention Center and Knott's Berry Farm $41, John Wayne Airport and South Coast Plaza $70, Burbank $185, Ontario $170.
- The taxi stand is outside the terminal next to Parking Structure A. Uber and Lyft use the outer kerb in front of the terminal.
- Wheelchair accessible taxis must be booked ahead with Yellow Cab on (562) 444-4444; on Uber select WAV, on Lyft turn on Wheelchair Access.
- Car rental desks are across the street in the Airport Ground Transportation Center, not in the terminal.
The route list on the airport's page is out of date
- Long Beach Airport's transportation page links four Long Beach Transit routes: 102, 104, 111 and 405. Long Beach Transit does not run a route 102. Its current published network, valid 23 August 2026 to 6 February 2027, has 101 and 103 but nothing numbered 102.
- That matters because 101 and 103 do not serve the airport either. The airport stop is served by 104 and 111.
What actually stops at the airport
- The stop is called Long Beach Airport / Lot A and it is on airport property, so this is a genuine kerbside bus, not a walk to a main road.
- Route 111 towards downtown Long Beach: first 05:24, last 22:23 on weekdays, roughly hourly, and 06:22 to 22:22 on Saturday and Sunday. In the other direction, towards South Street via the airport, it runs 05:40 to 22:41 on weekdays.
- Route 104 is the weekday workhorse and the weekend disappointment. About 30 departures each way on a weekday, first around 05:36 and last around 20:39, but only twelve to fourteen at weekends with the last in the early evening.
- Route 405, the UCLA Westwood Express, uses the Long Beach Airport and Donald Douglas Drive stop. Three trips to Westwood at 05:17, and up to 06:50, and three back between 17:25 and 19:20, weekdays only. It is a commuter service, not an airport service, but it is there.

Rail
- The closest Metro Rail station is Wardlow on the A Line, and the airport publishes the missing half of that journey: a cab from Wardlow station to the airport is $13.35. The A Line runs to 7th Street/Metro Center in downtown Los Angeles and meets Long Beach Transit at the Transit Mall in downtown Long Beach.
Long Beach (LGB): the parking rates on the page are lower than the rates in the banner above them
The airport has posted an increase effective 1 October, with valet rising again on 1 November, while the rate table further down the same page still shows the old prices. Budget for the higher set.
- The banner announces new rates effective 1 October: $5 an hour, Structure A $35 a day, Structure B $30 a day.
- Valet rises on 1 November to $42 a day.
- The table lower down the same page still shows the old rates: Lot A $30 a day, Lot B $25, valet $38.
- Neither the banner nor the table carries a year. Treat the higher figures as the ones you will pay.
- Structure B is the overflow. The airport says to use it when Structure A fills.
- The cell phone waiting lot is free for one hour only.
- There are 12 ChargePoint electric vehicle chargers on the first level of Structure B, first come first served.
- Parking can be reserved in advance in either Structure A or Structure B.
- Valet is run separately at lbvalet.com or on 562-496-1407.
- From the 405, exit Lakewood Boulevard northbound, pass Spring Street and turn left at Donald Douglas Drive. From the 91, exit Lakewood Boulevard, go south four miles and turn right at Donald Douglas Drive.
Two sets of prices on one page
Long Beach Airport's parking page carries a banner and a table that do not agree, and the banner is the newer of the two.
- Banner: new parking rates effective 1 October, $5 an hour, Structure A $35 a day, Structure B $30 a day. New valet rates effective 1 November, $42 a day.
- Table: Lot A $30 daily, Lot B $25 daily, valet $38, cell phone waiting lot free for one hour only.
- Neither states a year. If you are parking from October onward, assume the banner.
Practicalities
- Structure A is the default and Structure B the overflow, and the airport tells you to go to B when A is full.
- Reservations are available for both structures, which is worth doing at a small airport whose car parks genuinely fill.
- Twelve ChargePoint chargers sit on the first level of Structure B, first come first served, so do not plan a charge around them.

- Driving in: from the 405 take Lakewood Boulevard northbound, pass Spring Street, turn left at Donald Douglas Drive; from the 91 take Lakewood Boulevard south for four miles and turn right at Donald Douglas Drive.
