Milwaukee (MKE): route 80 and the GreenLine, both signed for the airport

Which one to take
- Route 80 for downtown and the north side along 6th Street.
- The GreenLine for the East Side, the university area and Bayshore, via the Oakland and Howell corridor.
- Both are ordinary city fares. There is no airport surcharge.
The rail question
- Milwaukee Airport Rail Station is on the Amtrak Hiawatha line to Chicago, roughly 2 km from the terminal, with a shuttle connection rather than a walk.
- That is the fast way to Chicago, and it is worth knowing about if you are connecting between the two cities rather than heading into Milwaukee.
Other stops nearby
- Howell Avenue carries several stops within about a kilometre: Howell and Grange, Howell and Edgerton. Those are for the surrounding neighbourhood.
- Downtown Milwaukee is about 12 km north of the airport, a straightforward run up either corridor.
