Ontario (ONT): route 380 ONT Connect to Cucamonga Station
Omnitrans route 380 links the terminals with Cucamonga Metrolink station, 03:51 to 23:23. Route 61 is the local, running to Fontana and Pomona.
- Route 380, ONT Connect, is the purpose-built link: Cucamonga Station to Ontario Airport, first departure 03:51, last 23:23.
- Cucamonga Station is on Metrolink's San Bernardino Line, which runs into Los Angeles Union Station.
- The stops are named Ontario Airport @ Terminal 2 and Airport @ Terminal Way, both within about 700 metres of the runway reference point and at the terminals.
- Route 61 is the local service: Fontana to Ontario Mills to ONT to Pomona, 04:22 to 23:09, with about 1000 scheduled calls.
- Route 61 reaches Fontana Transit Center and Pomona Transit Center, which are the connection points for the wider Inland Empire network.
- Ontario is the alternative Los Angeles-area airport, roughly 60 km east of downtown LA.
- The 380 has around 137 scheduled calls, so it is a timed shuttle rather than a turn-up-and-go service. Check the timetable.
- Archibald @ Guasti is the nearest street stop, about 1.2 km away, used by route 61.
The connection that makes ONT usable
- Route 380, branded ONT Connect, runs between the airport terminals and Cucamonga Station. First departure 03:51, last 23:23.
- Cucamonga is a Metrolink San Bernardino Line station. That line runs west into Los Angeles Union Station, which is what turns Ontario from an isolated airport into one you can reach without a car.
- About 137 scheduled calls appear in Omnitrans' published data, so it runs to a timetable rather than continuously. Look it up before you land.
The local bus
- Route 61 runs Fontana to Ontario Mills to ONT to Pomona: first 04:22, last 23:09, roughly 1000 scheduled calls.
- Fontana Transit Center and Pomona Transit Center are its ends, and both are interchanges for the rest of the Inland Empire.
- Ontario Mills is the large outlet mall between the airport and the freeway, and a common transfer point.
Where the stops are
- Ontario Airport @ Terminal 2 and Airport @ Terminal Way are both at the terminals.
- Archibald @ Guasti, about 1.2 km out, and Holt @ Vineyard, about 1.3 km, are street stops on route 61's path.
Context
- Ontario is about 60 km east of downtown Los Angeles. It is marketed as an LA airport and for the Inland Empire it genuinely is the local one.
- If your destination is central LA, the honest comparison is the 380 plus Metrolink against a long and expensive ride-hail.
- If your destination is Riverside, San Bernardino or Palm Springs, Ontario is much better placed than LAX.
